Long story short
A complete transformation of WellnessTrade’s eCommerce platform.
Our studio was delighted to be a part of this digital flip. We developed a 3D configurator with augmented reality to help our partner outshine the competition. In addition to the software solution, we also invested a significant amount of time converting physical products into realistic 3D models through object scanning, retopologizing, and simulating materials.
The final solution features accurately represented spa products. Now, Wellnestrade is able to provide a uniquely immersive and intuitive user experience for their customers digitally.
The modern interface invites a user to customize and preview spa amenities in AR from the comfort of their home. When it's time to order, users are more confident in their choices.
Challenge & Solution
One of the major challenges was scanning and modeling individual whirlpools for web browsers and augmented reality, which we wanted to support on both iOS and Android devices. To make this possible, we needed an efficient approach that produced high-quality visualizations.
The final result is a web-based 3D configurator that is seamlessly integrated into our partner's eCommerce software. Now that customers are able to preview whirlpools with different material and color options, they can truly customize a purchase while simulating how it will fit into their own space.
Making of
Our team designed and developed a user-friendly navigation system to help WellnessTrade's customers browse their product portfolio. We adopted an iterative approach for both desktop and mobile solutions. Qunity was used to build a 3D configurator enhanced by AR.
A key part of the project was carefully preparing the 3D models. This involved scanning physical models, optimizing the mesh and size of the 3D data, and creating materials and textures for a realistic feel. Our team worked closely with our partner, implementing several iterations to produce an effective solution.
Jacuzzis are Spahouse's core product. From color to finish, interactive 3D models let users zoom, turn, and examine every aspect of these luxury items as if they were within arm's reach.
Technology
The WellnessTrade 3D configurator was created using our own platform and a combination of technologies. We turned to React, a JavaScript library to build efficient and flexible user interfaces, and Threejs, a JavaScript library to create 3D graphics for web.
Our team was able to develop a powerful product configurator that boost sales and increases website traffic. Our partner's customers can now design their dream whirlpool and project it into their own space with AR.
